The Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames returned home with a clean sheet and the Women’s National Basketball League competition lead after accounting for the Adelaide Lightning in Adelaide and the West Coast Waves in Perth in Round 2 matches.

Sydney University Sport and Fitness (SUSF) and Sydney University Australian National Football Club (SUANFC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Moten as the University’s inaugural NEAFL Senior Coach for season 2012. 

Making just their second appearance at the Australian University Games, held last month on the Gold Coast, the Sydney University Taekwondo Club contributed to the overall first place of Sydney University by finishing second.

The Sydney University Lion’s continued their perfect season last weekend when they defeated the previously undefeated Western Sydney Pirates 38-32 in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

Australian University Sport (AUS) and the Australasian Campus Union Managers Association (ACUMA) have been lobbying in partnership for the return of a student services and amenities fee for more than 5 years now. The legislation will allow universities to charge a deferrable fee in support of student services such as health, sport, recreation, childcare and clubs and societies and other activities as per the allowed list of expenditure areas in the legislation.

The 2011 SUSF/Blues Association Golf Day was held, as usual, at St Michael’s Golf Club on Wednesday 12^th October.  

The recently relaunched Sydney University Golf Club (SUGC) continues to thrive after a strong performance at the Australian University Games (AUG’s) and a very successful inaugural Club Championship.

A solid off-season preparation and some astute recruiting saw Sydney Uni Flames start the 2011-12 Women’s National Basketball League season on a positive note, with a 79-61 win over the Australian Institute of Sport at SUSFC on Friday night.
