Sydney University started the Sydney grade cricket season with a bang, collecting first innings points in four of the five grades and taking an early lead in the Club Championship.

In what will be remembered as one of the most dominant performances in the history of the event, Sydney University Athletics Club (SUAC) were crowned both the men’s and women’s champions at Australian Uni Game, winning 29 medals and having 12 team members selected on the Green and Gold team.

Day four of the 2013 AUG had some surprise victories for Sydney Uni and some agonising defeats. Thursday’s competition is equal to what the AFL call the premiership quarter. It is the day that many team sports fight their way into the semi-finals and gold medal play-offs, while other teams fight off the threat of relegation from Division One.

Brydens Sydney Uni Flames start the 2013-14 Women’s National Basketball season tonight with a new sponsor, a new roster, a new stadium and renewed hope of clinching the elusive title.

Sydney University came home with some brilliant results in the Australian University Championship – Rowing (AUC Rowing) this week, taking out the Men’s Overall Trophy and the Combined Overall Trophy.

Day three of AUG action, and it was once again hot conditions. A host of individual athletes secured medals for Sydney whilst many teams also set themselves up for semi-finals tomorrow.

Sydney University Women’s Rugby side had four representatives in the Sydney side that won the Australian Championship, played at St Ignatius College, Riverview from September 26-28.

Sydney Uni athletes have continued their excellent form on the second day of competition in what were extremely hot and difficult conditions for many of the competitors.
