The Bruce Pryor Field continues to earn praise as the best hockey playing surface in Sydney.
The field, named after club stalwart Bruce Pryor, is located at the University of Sydney’s Cumberland Campus in Lidcombe and is home to the Sydney University Hockey Club, NSW’s oldest hockey club. The new facility, apart from the synthetic turf, includes goals, lighting for night-time use, fencing, dugouts, scoreboard and landscaping. The club played its first ever competitive games on the new field on Saturday 22 April, 2017.
