Sydney University Athletics Club’s Nicola McDermott soared to new heights to collect the silver medal in the women’s high jump at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

After seventeen days of inspirational sporting competition, the curtain has come down on the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where seven Sydney University athletes secured medals.

Paralympic legend Angie Ballard will be representing Australia at her sixth Games when she takes to the track in T53 wheelchair sprints in Tokyo.

Sydney University will be represented by 35 athletes and a team manager at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. That number will grow when the Paralympic team is finalised.
