Sydney University’s Under 19s remain unbeaten after nine rounds in Sydney AFL Division 1 competition after their 30-point win over North Shore Bombers at University Oval on Saturday.

Daemon Lakatos landed three of Sydney University’s goals in the 9.13: 67 to 6.1: 37 win which took them eight points clear on the competition ladder. The Students sit on 36 points, with UNSW-Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs (28), Pennant Hills Demons (28), Manly Warringah Wolves (20), North Shore Bombers (20) and East Coast Eagles (16) making up the top six.

Milo Davine, Nicholas Andreacchio, Noah Mitchell, Zachary Nandlal, Felix Rugge-Price and Oscar Bosnjakovic were among Sydney University’s best on field.

North Shore Bombers defeated Sydney University 10.9: 69 to 5.4: 34 in their Under 19 Division 2 match at Gore Hill Oval.

In other results, North Shore Bombers defeated Sydney University 13.17: 95 to 9.15: 69 in their Men’s Premier Division fixture at University Oval, North Shore Bombers defeated Sydney University 7.12: 54 to 8.2: 50 in their Platinum Division match at Gore Hill Oval, and North Shore Bombers Platinum Reserves defeated Sydney University Platinum Reserves 11.14: 80 to 12.2: 74.

In women’s AFL, Sydney University’s Premier Division team defeated North Shore Bombers 6.8: 44 to 4.5: 29 at University Oval on Saturday. The University’s goals came from Mikaela Mahoney (2), Jasmine Smith (2), Kendra Blattman and Stephanie Gillon.

Sydney University also reigned in Division 1, with a 6.5: 41 to 5.9: 39 win over North Shore Bombers. The University goals came from Sarah Tutt (3), Natalie Murray, Sidney Mahinya and Arabella Price.
