Sydney University can move into the top six on the NEAFL ladder when they take on Gold Coast Suns in a Round 15 clash at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.

The sixth-placed Suns are just two points ahead of Sydney University on the ladder which is headed by undefeated Brisbane on 48 points, with Southport (36), Sydney Swans (32), Aspley (28) Giants (28) and Gold Coast (20) making up the top six.

Sydney University moved within striking distance on the top six with a rare draw against Canberra Demons at Phillip Oval, Woden, on Saturday.

Both sides kicked 15 goals and 13 behinds in the nail-biting 103-all draw, with Nicholas Foster landing four and Joshua Stern kicking three for Sydney University.

Meanwhile, Sydney University maintained outright second position on the Sydney Premier Division ladder with a 76-point win over East Coast Eagles at Kanebridge Oval on Saturday.

Timothy Cordner kicked four and Samuel Gilfedder bagged three of Sydney University’s 16 goals in the 113-37 result.

Sydney University can maintain their position when they host last-placed UTS at Sydney University Oval on Saturday.

The Students also hold down second place on the Reserve Grade, Division One and Division Two ladders, head the Under 19 Division One ladder and lie second on the Under 19 Division Two.

Sydney University also sit third on the Sydney Women’s Premier League and Division Two ladders after 12 rounds.
