Sydney University women’s rugby union number eight Grace Hamilton and flanker Emily Chancellor have retained their run- on positions for the Second Test against the New Zealand Black Ferns, to be played at Eden Park, Auckland, on Saturday.
Chancellor made her Australian debut and Hamilton earnt her 10th cap in the First Test at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, last Saturday when the Black Ferns triumphed 31-11.
The win extended the Black Ferns’ winning streak to 16 over their trans-Tasman foes, with Australia yet to savour victory in 14 years of matches between the sides.
Wallaroos head coach, Dwayne Nestor has backed the squad he picked for the first Test after a week of training at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
“We’re really looking forward to this second Test and we know that the Black Ferns are going to lift at home,” he said. “We had a good review of the opportunities we didn’t take out there last week and we know we can improve on our performance.”
The Eden Park women’s rugby Test will again be a curtain-raiser to the Second Bledisloe Cup Test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies.
The match will be broadcast live on Fox Sports with 2.45pm AEST kick-off.
