It was another successful weekend for Sydney University Athletics Club members, with many podium finishes in competitions within Australia and around the world.
Further afield, Marina Carrier had a fantastic result in the Modern Pentathlon at the Polish Open Championships. Carrier finished in third place, recording a PB in the swim and her second fastest time in the combined running and shooting discipline.
Close to home, Lara Hamilton won the female Sydney Run2Cure 10km. She ran the race in a very quick time of 34.54, over a minute and a half ahead of the second placed finisher. Dylan McCuaig- Walton also continued his successful start to the winter road season winning the male Sydney Run2Cure 10km in 32:19, over a minute ahead of the next finisher.
Across the ditch, Brad Croker won the Christchurch Half marathon in a quick 1.05.38 ahead of 1500 other race finishers. Only just missing the club record, the time was a PB for Croker.
Up North, Audrey Hall won the Northern Territory City2Surf in a time of 48.23 over 12km, ahead of 290 female participants.
Madeline Hills & James Nipperess travelled West to compete in the Leonora Golden Gift, Australia’s richest mile footrace. Hills finished the race in second place, while Nipperess came in third in their respective races.
Sarah Marvin & Jack Colreavy also competed this weekend in the Launceston 10, both finishing inside the top 10.
