Sydney University Soccer Football Club’s Under 16 men’s youth team collected the 2017 title with a 1-nil win over Granville Rage at Arlington Oval on Saturday.
The Under 16s finished the 30-round season on top of the ladder on 65 points to win the title on a first past the post basis, ahead of Inter Lions on 62 points.
Sydney University Under 15s finished the season proper in second place behind Rydalmere Lions, while the Under 14s and Under 13s each finished in 5th spot. Dunbar Rovers topped the Under 14 ladder and Bankstown headed the Under 13 ladder.
Sydney University Under 15 striker Finn McDowell finished the season with 27 goals from 28 appearances. He also played three Under 16 matches during the 2017 season.
