A record 26 Sydney University Athletics Club (SUAC) runners entered the 2017 Sydney10 at the weekend.

Saturday’s event drew more than a thousand athletes who made their way along Sydney Olympic Boulevard. Competitors included elite runners and fun runners, tackling either the 2.5km, 5km or 10km events.

SUAC’s Danielle Allen placed third in the women’s race (33.58) after a return from injury. In the men’s Jack Colreavy recorded a time of 30:37 placing fifth overall. SUAC improved its position at the top of the men’s and women’s Winter Premiership following outstanding team performances from the event and the first round at Novice 10k Championships.
