A record 88 SUAC entrants competed at the NSW Championships over the weekend. The meet held at Sydney Olympic Park in a variety of weather conditions saw SUAC take out the overall medal tally winning a staggering 28 medals over the course of the weekend.
SUAC athletes took home 14 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals. The 2nd place club won 5 gold medals.

Silver medals went to Larissa Pasternatsky (100m), Annie Rubie (800m), Holly Campbell (1500m), Gen Cowie (400m hurdles), Sarah Clifton-Bligh (200/800m PARA-wc, Discus PARA-wc), Jin Su Jung (100m), Joe Burgess (3000m SC) and Paige Campbell (3000m SC).
Bronze medals went to Tavleen Singh (200m), Maddy Bergfield (Discus), Nick Van Gelder (Long Jump), Beth Croft (3000mSC) and Andrew Giltrap (Shot Put).
Over in New Zealand Josh Ralph had a big win over 800m taking out the Auckland Track Challenge. Ralph beat fellow Australians Luke Matthews and Jordy Williamsz in a slick time of 1.47.75.
SUAC athletes will next compete in the Canberra Classic in a fortnight’s time.
