Unwrapping the ‘Academic Athlete Christmas’…

“I will be taking full advantage of the summer break to get in some big kilometres; swim, bike and running my way through the festive period!” – Emily Kempson, Triathlete. 

“I had to take an exam straight after Spring Tour and now I would love to get away somewhere coastal for a few days before Christmas and then head back to Dubbo for the family Christmas.” – Tom Robertson, Sydney Uni Football Club.

“I have been training most mornings then working all day delivering Christmas trees. For Christmas I’m running away to Avoca with the family for a quiet one.” – Alex Cobb, Sydney Uni Baseball Club.

“After retiring from Flames mascot duties for the season, I’m keen to lay in the sun for as much as summer as possible and enjoy Christmas with the fam.”  – Liz Grey, Sydney Uni Soccer Football Club.

“I’m extremely looking forward to my first Christmas away from home with the Melbourne Stars down south to learn and refine my skills in in a new environment.” – Devlin Malone, Sydney Uni Cricket Club.

“These holidays are proving to be quite busy. I’m interning and working most of the summer but after a family chill family Christmas in Sydney will have a bit of a break. I’m heading down the south coast with some friends for New Years to camp and do some hiking before stepping back into full training for the club season and u24 Australian Team selections in January.” – Kim Spragg, Sydney Uni Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Club.
