Sydney University Football Club has six players in an Australian squad to meet the French Barbarians in Bordeaux on Thursday.
SUFC players to be called into the squad include second-rowers Sam Carter and Will Skelton, hooker Nathan Charles, props Tom Robertson and Paddy Ryan and halfback Nic Stirzaker.
Nineteen players have already assembled in Bordeaux with up to five extra players from the Wallabies squad to fly from Dublin tonight.
Development players make up the majority of the squad although it does feature four overseas-based former Wallabies, with Peter Kimlin (Grenoble), Nathan Charles (Clermont), Mark Gerrard (Toyota Industries Shuttles) as well as former captain Ben Mowen (Pau) joining the ranks.
Wallabies coach Michael Cheika confirmed that all players will see game time. “With the Wallaby XV, we want to create a mix of experienced players as well as our developing players coming through,” Cheika said.
“A lot of these lads have been with us over the past three weeks on tour and have been preparing for this Wallaby XV game as their Test match, especially against an international line-up that the French Barbarians will have.”
The Wallaby XV clash against the French Barbarians will kick-off at 6.45am AEDT on Friday November 25.
Meanwhile, the Wallabies continue their Grand Slam quest in Dublin ahead of their fourth Test of the 2016 Spring Tour, against Ireland at Aviva Stadium on Saturday November 26.
