The Brydens Sydney Uni Flames are thrilled to announce their second import signing, Joslyn Tinkle for the 2015/16 WNBL season.

Just 24 years old, Joslyn already boasts a wealth of experience. A graduate of Stanford University, Joslyn became Stanford’s 34th 1000 point club member and started all 36 games in their 2012/13 season. Joslyn will add another dimension to the Flames given her attacking style and scoring ability. She will also add at the defensive end, she collected 66 blocks in her senior year at Stanford, the third highest single season total in the University’s history.

Joslyn has spent the past two seasons playing in Europe in both Turkey and Hungary. “I’ve really enjoyed playing all over Europe and to have had the opportunity to compete in the Euro league. However, I am thrilled to come to Australia and play for the Sydney Uni Flames. I have only heard great things about the country, league, national players, and coach Seebohm.” Tinkle said.

Coach Shannon Seebohm believes Tinkle will be a brilliant addition to the team. “Joslyn’s versatility suits our style of play very well since she can score from both in the paint and from the perimeter. She is also going to add great game experience to the team with her time spent playing in some of the best leagues in Europe. We are very excited to have her join the Flames for next season.” He said.

The Flames have now signed a host of players to join their successful returning squad. The year ahead looks very exciting as the team look to build upon the phenomenal 2014/15 season.
