SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Emma Jeffcoat won gold at the recent Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.
The University of Sydney Bachelor of Advanced Nursing student finished in first place for the third consecutive year in the 2km soft sand beach run, held on Scarborough Beach in Perth, Western Australia.
Jeffcoat also made the finals of her other two events, where she was unlucky to miss out on more medals – finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
The 19 year old has been in tremendous form this year. She was victorious at the Gatorade National Triathlon Sprint distance titles in Elwood, Victoria in February, as well as the National Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships in Devonport, Tasmania last month.
