Sydney University’s women’s and men’s handball teams eased into Grand Final matches after comfortable victories over Hills on the weekend.
Finishing as minor premiers, the men’s and women’s teams were positioned well going into semis and had comfortable games this week, and both sets of results reflected this.
The women’s team convincingly defeated Hills 38-12, dominating the game with their fast play. They will play against UTS in the Grand Final, who are the only team to have beaten them previously.
Sydney University’s men’s team took on the Hills Blaze, winning against the young team 34-21. Next week they go into the final as favourites against the Hills Heat. With one win and one loss against this team it’s sure to be a close and exciting match.
Grand Final day of the NSW Handball League is the 17th September at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Halls and all supporters are invited to attend.
The women’s final starts at 12pm, while the men’s final begins at 1:30pm. Entry is free.
