Sydney University Swim Club finished a very successful Metropolitan Championships meet with two silver and two bronze medals, 11 finals (top 10 rankings), 43 personal best times and an Australian record.
SUSC was represented by 21 swimmers at the meet on the July 16 and 17 and finished the overall pointscore in 25th position.
Dorothy Mafi was coach Vanessa Smith’s ‘Swimmer of the Meet’ with an incredible eight personal best swims and two finals.
Special mention was also made of Molly McGrath (two personal bests), Cleo Hendrickson, Rhiannon Carr (two personal bests) and Gemma Harding, who competed in their inaugural Metropolitan Championships.
The junior swimmers now turn their focus to the State Age Championships in August.
