Sydney University Sports and Aquatic Centre will play host to the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League finals this weekend.

The home court of the ACUVUE Sydney Uni Flames will be alight five weeks before the Flames season officially begins, as the Hills Hornets, Perth Western Stars, Victorian Dandenong Rangers and the Gaudkamp Gladiators fight it out for a grand final finish.

Sydney University scholarship holder, Sarah Stewart will be taking the court for the Hills Hornets who finished second on the ladder on for and against.

This year’s final series sees an extremely close, high quality competition – with the ladies sure to demonstrate their athleticism and sporting excellence over the weekend.

Competition will take to the court at 10am on Saturday, when Victorian Dandenong Rangers take on Gaudkamp Gladiators in the minor semi-final. That will be followed by the major semi-final between the Hills Hornets and the Perth Western starting at  noon.

The grand final shall be played at  1pm on Sunday.
