The Sydney University Rugby League Football Club (SURLFC) has a long and rich history dating back to its establishment in 1920. SURLFC has participated in the highest of competitions in rugby league – previously playing in the NSW Rugby League Premiership (known as the NRL today) and finishing second to the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 1926 Premiership. Throughout the club’s history, players also had the privilege to be chosen to represent New South Wales and Australia at both senior and University rugby league levels.

SURLFC provides its players with a chance to participate in a competition which is both enjoyable and competitive. We value ourselves on three main principles in which we emphasise each year – Mateship, Pride and Community. We understand the importance of being a student athlete and assist you every step of the way to ensure it is being balanced effectively. Once you are apart of this great club you will have lifelong friends, be apart of a large past player community and have networking opportunities. Check out our Information Booklet if you are interested and contact any of our socials. Join The Pride!

SURLFC enter a men’s team in the Open Age Metro Combined Saturday Bronze competition, as well as women’s tackle and league-tag teams. The season goes from April-August. The games are played games across Sydney, with some home games at SUFG.
