The Sydney University Athletic Club (SUAC) have been crowned the winners of the Winter Premiership in both the Men’s and Women’s Open competition for 2016.
The win was the 6th consecutive win for the club in the men’s competition, with the women winning the title for the 4th consecutive year.
The Winter premiership is held over 8 rounds of competition across varying distances from 4km through to 12km held at venues as far north as Newcastle and as far south as Nowra.
The SUAC team this year included 65 competitors in what was one of the great team efforts from the club.
The win continues a magnificent year for the club, with SUAC having just recently won the overall competition at the Australian University Games for the 6th consecutive year.
The next major competition for the club will be the NSW State Relay Championships held November 26th/27th, an event where the club has enjoyed considerable success in the past decade.
