Sydney University went to Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday with high hopes of securing three premierships but came away with one flag – in the Under 18 Premier Cup – and disappointment in the Premier Division and Reserve Grade.

A 22-point haul from five-eighth Berrick Barnes helped Sydney University to a 42-17 win over Eastern Suburbs in their elimination semi-final at Coogee Oval on Saturday – and another step closer to a Shute Shield defence and a sixth-straight premiership.

Sydney University Wheelchair Flames caused an upset when they toppled minor premiers Western Stars 61-51 in the Grand Final of the 2010 Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League at the Herb Graham Recreation Centre in Perth on Sunday.
