With two rounds of the Shute Shield, Sydney’s premier rugby union competition, to be played, Sydney University’s chance of a finals berth is all but over.

Sydney University’s women’s rugby union side made it through to the grand final of the Jack Scott Cup, Sydney’s Premier competition, with a 37-nil win over Campbelltown in the semi-final on Saturday.

The Lions returned home to Marrickville’s coliseum, Henson Park, where the Beavers had to be put out of their misery with 20 minutes to play. This might have been the most complete game the Lions put on the park this season in time for a big game against competition leaders UTS next week.
