Elite Athlete Program member Yareni Guerrero has her sights set on next year’s Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

Sydney Uni Tennis’ Eva Lozitskaya has wrapped up an extremely successful campaign at the (12/U) National Clay Court Championships in Canberra.

Whilst it has been a time of upheaval in the WNBL over the last offseason, continuity has been the theme for the defending champion Brydens Sydney Uni Flames heading into the 2017/18 season. 

Centuries from Ben Trevor-Jones and Damien Mortimer and a tantalising 96 from James Larkin set Sydney University up for maximum points in their Round 2 match against Blacktown on Saturday.

The club travelled to Wyaralong Dam on the Gold Coast for the 2017 Australian University Games, the contingent of athletes consisted on a good mixture of youth and experience. With what would have to be the best overall performance of Sydney University at AUG’s in the last few years, winning both the Men’s, Women’s and Overall point score over the three days of racing.

Men’s and Women’s eights from the universities of Sydney and Melbourne will meet on The Yarra River for the Annual Australian Boat race on Sunday morning, 22 October 2017.

All-rounder Liam Robertson opened the 2017-18 season with a boundary-laden century as defending premiers Sydney University defeated Gordon by seven runs in their limited overs clash at Chatswood Oval on Saturday.
