The Sydney Uni Lions won their 12^th NSW championship and 8^th straight Waratah Bowl with a commanding 37-0 victory over the UTS Gators on Saturday night. 

Sydney University opener Greg Mail scored his third century of the season in guiding the Students to a win in their limited overs match against Eastern Suburbs at Waverley Oval on Saturday and passed 11,000 First Grade runs in the process.

Sydney Uni Fencing Club has won the inaugural NSW Club Grand Prix Championship, with SUFC athletes accumulating 1008 Grand Prix points over the course of 2010 and dominating over our nearest rivals UTS (669 points) and UNSW (635 points).

The last week has been proven to be action packed for Sydney Uni sailors with Will Ryan taking out the International 470 class competition, sailing with his sister against some of the world’s best.

Outstanding performances at the Metropolitan Championships held at Homebush over the 11th and 12th of December included Tom Heal, who qualified for his first Open Nationals in the 50m freestyle along with Tim Halliday and Gemma Johnson. 

Former premiership-winning Sydney University halfback, Nick Haydon, has captained Oxford University to a 21-10 win over Cambridge University in the 129^th annual Varsity Match, played at Twickenham.

Sydney University this week claimed bronze at the Australian University Championship (AUC) Twenty20 cricket tournament held in Ballarat.

Former Sydney Uni Elite Athlete Program member and water polo representative Jeremy Davie has scored three goals in the NCAA Final for the University of Southern California (USC), in the process defeating the University of California 12-10.
