At the age of just 13, Sydney University Swim Club member, Paige Burland, has become the youngest ever club member to qualify for the 2011 Telstra Australian Swimming Championships.

There were mixed fortunes for Sydney University teams in the first round of the Sydney Autumn Badge tennis competition held on Saturday afternoon.

Sydney University rowers capped off a medal-laden National Rowing Championship regatta at West Lakes, South Australia on Sunday, when they provided the bulk of the NSW men’s eight crew that won a fourth consecutive King’s Cup.

The ACT women’s rugby team claimed some revenge for their loss at the Kiama Sevens a fortnight ago with a  24-10 win over Sydney University in the final of the Paper  to Paper 7’s By The Sea tournament held at Warringah Rugby Club’s home ground, Rat Park,  last Saturday.
