Sydney University Football Club’s First and Second grade sides will contest Grand Finals in the Sydney Rugby Union Premiership competition season deciders at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday.

Sydney University Firsts won a Shute Shield Grand Final berth with a nail-biting 10-9 Semi-Final win over Eastwood at Pittwater Rugby Park on Saturday. They’ll meet Gordon, who earned a Grand Final berth with a 23-13 win over Northern Suburbs in their Semi-Final.

Sydney University Seconds could add major premiership honours to their minor premiership title when they take on Eastern Suburbs at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday. They earned a Grand Final berth against Easts after defeating Randwick 28-21 in their Semi-Final at Pittwater Rugby Park on Saturday. Easts accounted Eastwood 31-21 in their Semi-Final.

First and Second grades hope to emulate the efforts of Fourth Grade who claimed their title with a 24-9-win disposal of Randwick in the season decider at Coogee Oval on Saturday. The Students finished fourth on the ladder and earned a Grand Final berth with a 27-14 result over Eastern Suburbs in the play-off Final and a 46-12 result over Northern Suburbs in their Semi-Final.

SUFC Thirds finished second behind Eastern Suburbs in the minor premiership race. They defeated Manly 28-21 in their play-off Final before dipping out of contention with a nail-biting 35-34 loss to Randwick in their Semi-Final. Randwick and Eastern Suburbs drew 13-all in the Grand Final.

Having claimed the minor premiership, SUFC First Colts dipped out of contention with a 30-15 loss to Eastwood in the play-off round. The First Colts Grand Final will be decided between Eastern Suburbs and Manly at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday.

SUFC Second Colts finished fifth behind Easts, Warringah, Manly and Randwick in the competition proper. They defeated Warringah 32-10 to earn a Semi-Final berth where they went down 29-17 to Randwick. The Wicks went on to win the Grand Final with a 24-17 result over Warringah.

SUFC Third Colts claimed the minor premiership and earned a Grand Final berth with a 30-6 Semi-Final win over Manly. But their run came to an end in the season decider when they went down 11-10 to Eastern Suburbs at Coogee Oval on Saturday.
