Karen Dalton of the Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames and Chris Lucas of the Townsville Fire have been named joint WNBL Coach of the Month Award winners for October, with voters unable to split the head coaches of the league’s only two undefeated sides of the first four rounds.

The clash of the Women’s National Basketball League heavyweights lived up to its billing in Townsville on Saturday night when the Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames came from behind to defeat Townsville Fire 84-77 at the local RSL Stadium.
