Sydney University won the 2022 Club Championship in the NPL NSW Women’s soccer competition with two rounds of the competition proper to be played.
The Students are on 282 points after 20 rounds, well clear of APIA Leichhardt on 210. And First Grade collected their fourth consecutive minor premiership. They are sitting on 48 points (15 wins, three draws, and two losses), with Macarthur Rams (37) Northern Tigers (35), APIA Leichhardt (34), Manly United (31) and Bankstown City (31) making up the top six.
With matches against Macarthur Rams at Sydney University Football Ground this Sunday and Northern Tigers at North Turramurra Recreation Reserve on 4 September to round out the season proper, Sydney University women’s teams are Finals bound in all grades.
Football NSW Institute heads the Reserve Grade competition on 43 points, with Sydney University (41) still having a chance of claiming the minor premiership. APIA Leichhardt (40), Northern Tigers (33), NSW Spirit (32), and Blacktown Spartans (28) make up the top six.
Sydney University heads the Under 18s Girls’ Youth League table, with Manly United, Football NSW Institute, APIA Leichhardt, Blacktown Spartans, and Illawarra Stingrays making up the top six.
The Students lie second behind the Football Institute of NSW on the Under 16 ladder, with APIA Leichhardt. NSW Spirit, Manly United, and Northern Tigers make up the top six.
Sydney University is third on the Under 15s behind Northern Tigers and Blacktown Spartans, with Football Institute NSW, Manly, and APIA Leichhardt making up the top six.
Blacktown Spartans head the Under 14 table, with Emerging Jets, NWS Spirit, Football Institute NSW, Manly United and Sydney University making up the top six.
