For over three decades, Sydney University student athletes have been supported with sporting scholarships. Just three student athletes received support in 1990, but now, over 250 are assisted each year thanks to a kind and growing community of supporters.
Over 2,000 individuals have benefited from this wonderful tradition of encouraging excellence in sport and studies at Sydney University. Whether you’re a former sporting scholarship recipient, or friend of Sydney University sport, you’re invited to join (or rejoin) our community.
Giving can be immensely rewarding and beneficial. Whether you share your time, knowledge or otherwise; know that your generosity will inspire and enable others to achieve to their potential. Outlined below are just some ways in which you can engage.
Share your invaluable time, experiences and advice and be enriched as you help accelerate a student athlete towards their sport, study and career goals. Often the guidance of someone who was once in their shoes, helpful hints and tips, or just the reassurance that success is possible; can be instrumental for a student athlete’s performance and development and worth more than money can buy.
The development of our mentoring program is currently in its infancy, but we are keen to hear from you if you are interested in this initiative. Please contact us at [email protected]
Elite athletes are often exceptionally employable individuals. They’re goal-oriented and dedicated; can manage their time efficiently; can communicate effectively; and aren’t shy of hard work. If you’re seeking student and graduate athletes to invest in through work experience, internship, cadetship, or employment opportunities; we’d love to hear from you. Contact us here.
Have expertise in academic writing, public speaking and presentation skills? Possess exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, marketing, education, chemistry, law, or otherwise? Share your passion and knowledge through our tutoring program and help student athletes to achieve to their potential.
Available across a broad range of subjects, private tutoring is accessible to current members of the Elite Athlete Program and most useful when they are experiencing difficulties with understanding a unit of study content or have missed classes due to their sporting commitments.
