The Sports Awards Dinner celebrates the successes of our Sporting Clubs, administrators and athletes in 2024, below you will find the top achievements for all our finalists. All are worthy winners in their own right. Winners for all categories will be announced at the annual dinner on Wednesday 2 April, 2025.

- Learn to Play Volleyball
– Sydney Uni Volleyball Club’s Learn to Play program provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for students to discover and develop their passion for volleyball, fostering a strong campus community.
– Sessions ran twice a week throughout the entire semester.
– The program saw approximately 80 regular participants. - Lunchtime Social Soccer
– Lunchtime Social Soccer provided an inclusive and engaging experience, particularly for international students, by connecting them through the global game of football.
– The program expanded from four weeks in 2023 to ten weeks in 2024, with 90 students across 8 teams playing weekly at The Square. - RunSydUni
– A free, inclusive on-campus fun run program offered 10 weeks of free training (2 sessions per week) to support students of all abilities, particularly beginners and social runners.
–The program concluded with a 4km campus funrun with over 300 registrations.
–The event expanded in 2024, with the run covering the entire university campus, and achieving a 36% increase in finishers compared to 2023, enhancing student engagement and campus connectivity.
–The program was a collaborative effort between SUAC, Sydney Uni Sport, university administration, and volunteers. - Gymnastics Volunteer Workshop Series
– A hands-on volunteer-led program, allowing Sydney Uni Gymnastics members and USYD students to host and participate in diverse workshops, gaining teaching and coaching experience.
– Developed future gymnastics coaches, with structured lesson planning and mentorship from experienced coaches, leading some participants to secure coaching roles beyond the university.
– Engaged 60 USYD students through 15 workshops, covering various disciplines including handstands, strength, tumbling, circus aerials, and men’s/women’s apparatus.
–The program strengthened club culture and community, fostering peer learning, teamwork, and non-competitive participation, with many attendees returning and stepping into leadership roles.
– The program saw approximately 80 regular participants. - Moves+
– Moves+ is a rewards-based app promoting student activity through walking, running, swimming, and cycling, with over 1,000 active users since its launch in July 2024.
– Users have logged 403 million steps, run 22,500 km, and claimed over 1,600 rewards, showcasing strong engagement and motivation
– 85% of users report a stronger sense of connection to the university, highlighting its impact on student wellbeing and community.

- Henry Cain (Cricket)
– Dedicated six years of volunteer service to SUCC, leading to a paid Assistant Manager role in June 2024 in recognition of his exceptional contributions.
– Key leadership roles including Premier Grade Cricket Selector, Green Shield Manager and Recruiter, and Metropolitan Cup Selector, overseeing selections, coaching, and player recruitment across multiple teams.
– He is integral to club operations, assisting with general administration, team management, and event coordination, including major events like the annual Golf Day.
– Henry goes above and beyond his role, continuing to volunteer time outside his paid position to support the club’s success across coaching, recruitment, and logistics. - Tomonoru Hu (Kendo)
– Dedicated six years as Treasurer, ensuring the club’s financial health, budgeting, and compliance, while managing membership fees and cash flow.
– Demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment, consistently going above and beyond his role to support the club’s success
– Inspires the club community with his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for Kendo, while demonstrating proactive communication and problem-solving skills to ensure reliable financial management and long-term club sustainability. - James Mason (AFL)
– Dedicated six years of service, including three years as Treasurer and three years as a Board Member, while also contributing as a player and coach.
– Oversaw financial planning, audit processes, and treasury operations, ensuring the club’s long-term financial stability.
– Jame’s is a well-rounded leader, balancing financial management, governance, and on-field contributions to support the club’s success. - Ben Warnock (Baseball)
– A dedicated leader for over 17 years, serving as President (2023–present), Executive Committee Member and Treasurer prior while also continuing as a player since 2008.
– Led a major student recruitment drive, increasing student membership to over 25%, with total membership being the highest in living memory and allowing the Club to field an additional winter team, as well as establishing a student development team in a local summer competition for the first time in decades.
– Strengthened alumni and community engagement, launching a Community Membership program, increasing attendance at Community and Alumni Days, raising over $1,000 for charity, and securing a new post-game venue sponsor for cultural and financial benefits.
– Expanded club initiatives, including facilitating an 8-week throwing program for the Sydney Uni Water Polo Club, helping their players to build throwing velocity and arm health as well as providing Baseball Club members with real world coaching experience, related to their Uni degrees.
– Continues to support the club across sponsorship, events, social media, and administration.
– Ben continues to play for the Club, winning the 3rd Grade Gold Glove award in 2023 and 2024. - Brian Cho (Volleyball)
– Over 10 years of service as President and Treasurer, playing a key role in club operations, trials, and team selections, during a record year of participation.
– Secured court bookings, funding, and resources, ensuring the smooth operation and continued growth of the Club.
– Actively contributed to athlete development, providing coaching support across multiple teams while also competing at an elite level as part of the NSW Phoenix AVSL team.
– Recognised for his long-standing contribution with a University Sport Gold Award in 2024. - Justin Prabowo (Badminton)
– Exceptional leadership as President (since 2023), previously serving as Vice President and General Committee Member, overseeing club growth, tournaments, and UniSport Nationals Team Manager.
– Expanded club sessions and membership, fostering a strong community through regular club dinners, committee catch-ups, and emotional support for Uni Team members during competition seasons.
– Secured sponsorships for the club’s jerseys.
– Dedicated volunteer efforts, managing team logistics, transporting players daily, and ensuring smooth execution of club events and competitions.

- JoAnn Matruglio (Water Polo)
– As Operations Manager for four years, JoAnn has streamlined financials, budget preparation, training schedules, team allocations, and coaches contracts for the Club.
– Played a pivotal role in preparing the men’s and women’s clubs to merge, creating a more structured and organised environment for long-term success.
– With a history as a parent and volunteer, JoAnn has contributed in multiple roles, including fundraising, team management, secretary, and treasurer.
– Her leadership has significantly enhanced club operations, competition registrations, and overall management, ensuring a smooth and professional administration.
- Nick Ryan (Rugby Union)
– As Director of Rugby for four years and Colts Coordinator for six years, Nick works tirelessly, often 12+ hour days, 6-7 days a week to ensure the success of the Club
– He brings elite-level experience to SUFC, integrating world-class development strategies that enhance recruitment, retention, and overall rugby program success.
– Actively supports local village clubs (Canterbury, Balmain, Petersham), strengthening pathways for players and coaches through best-practice rugby programs.
– Embodies the Club’s core values by fostering positive relationships with players, coaches, and volunteers, prioritising player development and community engagement above all else.

- Teki Tuipulotu (Rugby)
– Has over 20 years of coaching experience with Rugby Australia, bringing expertise and leadership to the Club
– Led both the Women’s 10s and Women’s 1st XVs teams to undefeated Premierships, a first in the club’s history .
– Won the 2024 Women’s Club Championship.
– Coached the Club’s U14 and U18 girls’ teams to Premiership victories.
– Coached both the Men’s and Women’s UniSport Nationals teams, both bringing home silver.
– Plays a key role in managing both the Club’s Women’s and Juniors programs, strengthening pathways, growing the programs and fostering long-term success at SUFC. - Adam Kennedy (Tennis)
– Led the men’s team to their second consecutive UniSport Nationals title and the women’s team to a silver medal, while also guiding the mixed team to victory in the inaugural University Tennis League.
– Under Adam’s coaching, Charlie Pade became the first male tennis Blue in 10 years and made significant gains in the world tennis rankings.
– Plays a key role in recruitment and high-performance strategy. - Rhys Willam (Cricket)
– Rhys returned to the Club in 2023/24 and successfully led a youth-focused rebuild, ensuring a stronger pathway for young players.
– Under his guidance, 6 out of 9 teams reached the finals, with 3rd Grade winning the Mitchell Cup as Minor Premiers and Premiers.
– Utilises extensive school system contacts to drive recruitment and invests significant time beyond his contract in mentoring players and managing the coaching team.
– Highly involved in club events, player welfare, and team management, reinforcing his passion for grassroots and high-performance cricket.

- Sydney Uni Lawn Tennis Club
– SULTC had an outstanding 2024, winning Gold at Men’s UniSport Nationals, Silver at Women’s UniSport Nationals, and claiming victory in the inaugural University Tennis League against universities nationwide.
– The club experienced record growth to 260 members, with increased participation in Badge, Spring Doubles, and Club Championships, where 60 members competed in singles and doubles matches.
– Community engagement flourished, with a Clubhouse renovation donor secured, a Community Day with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders, and discussions with the Gadigal Centre on supporting Indigenous tennis initiatives.
– The Club also hosted multiple social events, including BBQs, a Wimbledon event, and a student pub crawl, while also advancing junior development through two Green Ball events and celebrating Charlie Pade receiving a Blue at the Blues Dinner. - Sydney Uni Athletic Club
– The Club dominated UniSport Nationals in 2024, winning Men’s, Women’s, and Overall Track & Field Championships, as well as both Men’s and Women’s Distance Running Championships.
– Retained the prestigious Treloar Shield.
– A historic presence at the Paris Olympics and Paralympics, with 10 athletes and 2 reserves representing Australia, including Paralympic legend Angie Ballard as national team co-captain.
– SUAC’s athlete development reached new heights, with Nicola Olyslagers becoming the club’s first-ever indoor world champion and winning two Olympic silver medals, alongside Mackenzie Little and Connor Murphy making Olympic finals, fuelled by the success of the Target Tokyo and Target Paris programs, now leading into Target LA. - Sydney Uni Football Club
– SUFC secured two premierships in 2024 – Women’s Jack Scott Cup and 2nd Colts Shell Trophy as well as 3rd Colts reaching the Grand Final.
– The Club had strong player development, with 12 1st Grade and 10 Women’s 1st Grade debutants, as well as national representation including Wallaby debut (Harry Potter) and Wallaroo debut (Ruby Anderson).
– The Club’s Supporter Base grew to 841 active members (55% increase) as well as a 32% rise in sponsorship/donations, and continued financial stability, including a clean audit for the second year.
– The Club hosted over 27 club functions and created a new interactive website.
– Three long serving volunteers were recognised with University Gold Blazers for their contributions and Will Lintott was a finalist of the SRU Volunteer of the Year award.

- Allanah Pitcher – Athletics
– NSW 5km Champion, silver in the 20km and bronze in the 10km at the Australian Championships.
– 7th at the Oceania & Australian 20km Championships and 27th at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships.
– Selected as a reserve for the Paris 2024 Marathon Race Walk Mixed Relay team.
– 2024 Female Blue of the Year and dedicated SUAC advocate, volunteer, and mentor.
– Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Biomedical Engineering) student. - Noémie Fox OLY – Canoe
– Won the gold medal in the inaugural women’s kayak cross event, becoming the first Olympic champion in this discipline
– Silver at the Kayak Cross Global Qualification Tournament (Prague), securing her Olympic debut.
– Named Breakthrough Sportsperson of the Year Award at GQ’s Men of the Year Awardss.
– Alongside her sister Jessica Fox, received The Don Award at the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Inductions & Awards Gala. This prestigious award celebrates Australian athletes whose achievements have most inspired the nation.
– Bachelor of Arts Media and Communications and a Master of Management graduate. - Rae Anderson – Soccer
– Won the 2024 IFCPF Women’s World Cup with the CommBank ParaMatildas, defeating the USA 6-2 in the final.
– Competed at the 2024 UniSport Nationals in Futsal and was part of the 2024 Sydney Uni Soccer Football Club’s Over 30s Premiership team.
– Awarded the Ronald J Worsley Memorial Prize for Indonesian Studies, the Sir Roden Cutler Award for contributions to sport and community, and the Yvonne Swift Individual Achievement Award for outstanding achievements.
– First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Indonesian Studies and Asian Studies) graduate. - Rachel Jeffs – Touch Football
-Won gold at the 2024 Touch Football World Cup with the Australian Emus, defeating New Zealand 6-2 in the final.
– Awarded Player of the Final at the 2024 NSW State Cup, Player of the Series at the Country & Regional Championships, and captained Newcastle to the State Cup title
– Finalist of the Louise Winchester Medal – Female Player of the Year.
– First-ever Touch Football University Blue (2023)

- Evelyn Haseldine – Sailing
– Alongside her teammate and USYD Alumnae Olivia Price, the pair won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships and secured Australia a quota spot in the 49erFX class in Paris. Australia’s best result in the 49erFX class.
– Finishing ninth overall at the Paris 2024 Olympics in a highly competitive field.
– Earned the ‘Team of the Year’ award at the 2024 Australian Sailing Awards.
– Actively engages with EAP initiatives and was awarded Female Blue of the Year in 2023.
-Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Media and Communications) student. - Tara Rigney – Rowing
– Finished 4th the Women’s Single Scull in the A Final at the Paris 2024 Olympics (her second Olympic Games).
-Won gold at the 2024 NSW Rowing Championships and the Australian Rowing Championships (Single & Quad Scull), and Interstate Regatta (Nell Slater Trophy).
– Gold at Rowing World Cup III (Poznan) and silver at Rowing World Cup II (Lucerne) in 2024.
– Long term and loyal Club Member of Sydney University Boat Club. Leading by example and providing great inspiration for younger rowers.

- Nicola Olyslagers – Athletics
– Won silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics in women’s high jump (2.00m).
– Gold at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships (Glasgow) with a 1.99m clearance.
– Equaled her own national record (2.03m) at the AIS Athletics Track meet (2024).
– Named Sydney Uni Athletic Club Female Athlete of the Year for both 2023 and 2024.
– Bachelor of Science Biochemistry Major graduate.
- Keesja Gofers – Water Polo
– Won silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics with the Aussie Stingers, competing in her third Olympic Games.
-The team finished in sixth place at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships.
– Remains an active member of the Sydney Uni Water Polo Club having played nearly 350 games in the Australian Water Polo League since joining in 2000.
– Charles Sturt Student Athlete of the Year (2024).

- Men’s and Women’s Table Tennis
– Both the Men’s and Women’s teams were crowned Champions in Canberra.
– Both teams went undefeated throughout the whole competition.
– The Men’s team claimed back-to-back titles also winning in 2023.
– The Women’s team went one better in 2024 having claimed silver in 2023. - Women’s Soccer
– The Women’s Soccer team won the pennant in Canberra, continuing their dominance with 12 titles in the last 13 years.
– They team went undefeated through the entire tournament, scoring 44 goals and only conceding three.
– They defeated University of Wollongong in the final 3-2 victory.
– Their victory earned them a place in the FISU Oceania Qualifer, where they defeated Victoria University of Wellington 3-0 in New Zealand, qualifying for the 2025 FISU World Cup to be played in Chin. - Men’s and Women’s Taekwondo
– The Men’s and Women’s Taekwondo team placed 2nd overall at UniSport Nationals with the Women’s team finishng 2nd and the Men’s team 3rd.
– Every athlete medalled, and the team won medals in every event they entered, securing 10 Gold, 8 Silver, and 5 Bronze.
– They competed against strong opposition, finishing just behind a much larger UNSW contingent with nearly three times as many athletes. - Men’s and Women’s Athletics
– The Men’s & Women’s Athletics teams were both crowned Champions in the Gold Coast in April 2024.
– With a team of over 60 athletes, the team’s claimed 4 Gold, 9 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals.
– The Women’s team retained their title froFfom 2023.
– The Men’s team went one better in 2024 having claimed silver in 2023. - Men’s Tennis
– Claimed the Champions Pennant in Canberra.
– Defended their title after also winning in 2023.
– Fresh off their victory in the inaugural University Tennis League, the team dominated the pool stages before overcoming tough finals against RMIT and UWA, securing gold in a decisive doubles match. - Women’s Boat
– The Women’s Rowing team won the Champions Pennant in Canberra.
– Back-to-back titles from their Gold Coast title in 2023.
– The team won 7 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze.

- Gillian Ragus (Athletics)
– As President of the Club since 2019, she has played a pivotal role in ensuring the club’s stability and growth, especially during a challenging 2024 year without a Director of Athletics.
– Manages strategic planning, administration, and resource advocacy, ensuring SUAC’s long-term sustainability while fostering a strong and supportive club culture.
– Balances her full-time career, family, and surf lifesaving training while volunteering countless hours to SUAC, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to the Club’s success. - Codie Underwood (AFL)
– In her first year as Secretary and Board Member of SUANFC, Codie has made a significant impact on club operations.
– She played a key role in enhancing community connections, fostering greater involvement and support for the Club.
– Helped increase fundraising efforts over the year, contributing to the Club’s financial sustainability.
– In just one year, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving club administration and organisation, ensuring a more efficient and well-run club.
- Claudia Choi (Taekwondo)
– As current President and former Social Director, Claudia has played a key role in revitalising the Club, particularly in strengthening participation.
– Led the 2024 Welcome Week campaign, resulting in a significant increase in new members, while also organising social events and a club camp to foster community and inclusion.
– Organised and managed logistics for major competitions – South Coast Open & UniSport Nationals, while also coaching Poomsae, ensuring strong performances and a great experience for athletes.
– Encouraged and guided the executive team, contributed to club merchandise design, and successfully balanced multiple responsibilities to enhance club culture and operations - Adrienne Toohey (Squash)
– As President since 2023 and former Vice President, Adrienne has Implemented a more efficient and structured system, improving club operations and fostering long-term growth.
– Originally a club member, Adi stepped up as Vice President and later President, demonstrating her commitment to giving back and driving the club forward.
– Her leadership has created an environment of efficiency and opportunity, ensuring the club continues to thrive.

- Mitch Liddle (Baseball)
– Led the Club to 2nd & 3rd Grade Championships in the Sydney Winter Baseball League, overseeing preseason planning, player recruitment, and open trials for an expanded five-team squad.
– Developed and managed training across two sites (on-campus and off-campus), coaching players from semi-professionals (navigating ABL restrictions) to beginners, while coordinating with coaches across all teams.
– Mentored first-year 3rd Grade coaches, guiding them to their first championship in over a decade, while also balancing game-day squad selections and logistical challenges.
– A dedicated leader on and off the field, winning the 3rd Grade MVP Award, demonstrating commitment to club culture and community, even flying back from a national coaching role to support the club’s annual Community Day fundraiser. - Olympia Denton (Cheer)
– Led the Clun to outstanding competitive success, with Lions Blue winning State, DCE Nationals, and States Grand Champions, and Lions Gold securing 2nd at State, 1st at DCE Nationals, and 3rd at AASCF Nationals.
– A highly skilled Level 4 cheer coach with AASCF accreditation, bringing over six years of experience as an athlete and Worlds competitor to her coaching role.
– Committed to athlete development and well-being, providing ongoing support inside and outside of training, fostering a strong team culture.
– Dedicated to the success of her athletes, traveling to both interstate and local competitions, ensuring they receive guidance and motivation throughout the season. - Jack Thomas (Netball)
– Led the Club to historic success, securing 1st place at UniSport Nationals Mixed Netball for the first time ever, winning the Teal Cup, and achieving 5th place in UniSport Nationals Women’s competition.
– Outstanding club performance, with 13 out of 20 teams making finals, five premierships, and joint winners of the UNE Tri-Series Mixed Shield, alongside strong M League summer competition results (1st in Div 2, 4th in Div 1).
– Dedicated leader and mentor, overseeing all training sessions, fostering an inclusive and supportive club culture, and ensuring players received both athletic and personal development support.
– Went above and beyond coaching duties, handling logistics, planning a seamless UniSport Nationals campaign, and organising club events, while prioritising mental health, team bonding, and community engagement.
- Xavier Taylor (Soccer)
– Led the Women’s Reserve Grade to the 2024 Football NSW Championship.
– Achieved a milestone in his coaching career, securing his first professional role as an Assistant Coach for Central Coast Mariners at the end of the 23/24 season.
– Acted as a mentor and educator, providing guidance to coaches in the Girls Youth and SAP programs, contributing to the development of future coaches within the Club.
– Went beyond coaching responsibilities, assisting club administration and match-day operations, showcasing his commitment to the Club’s success both on and off the field - Ken Johnston (AFL)
– Ken Johnston has been coaching at SUANFC since 2022, leading the U19’s Div 2 team to a Grand Final in 2023.
– Holds a Gold Level PLAY AFL coaching qualification, demonstrating his expertise and commitment to player development.
– Actively supports other teams, staff, and volunteers, strengthening the club’s pathways programs and connections with junior clubs.
– A key asset to SUANFC, bringing years of coaching experience at both junior and senior levels while always prioritising the club’s best interests.

- Baseball
– Won two major championships in 2024, with 2nd grade securing back-to-back Sydney Winter Baseball League titles and 3rd grade winning their premiership after a 2023 grand final loss.
– Both 2nd and 3rd Grade teams produced league MVPs, with Gus Landin and Mitch Liddle earning the honors.
– The club saw record-high student participation and an increase in winter competition teams
– Celebrating 120 years, the Club upheld its strong community and philanthropic efforts, raising over $1,000 for The Smith Family through its successful Community Day, engaging local juniors and supporters.
– The Club expanded its reach with an 8-week throwing program for Sydney Uni Water Polo, improving player performance with expertise from members studying teaching and physiotherapy
– Membership also hit a decade-high of 85, with student involvement growing to over 25%. - Cheerleading
– The Club had a record-breaking 2024, competing at five major competitions and achieving historic results, including 2nd place at UniSport Nationals (Lions Gold), 3rd place (Lions Blue), multiple 1st place wins at AASCF and DCE Nationals, and Grand Champion honours at the AASCF All Star Classic.
– The club grew to 65 active members across competitive and recreational teams, with the recreational squad supporting USYD sporting events and the Sydney Half-Marathon, fostering school spirit and engagement beyond the Club.
– Six club-wide social events—including trivia nights, picnics, and an end-of-year awards dinner—helped build a strong community and celebrate individual and team achievements.
– Successful fundraising initiatives, such as Bunnings BBQs, “Bring a Friend to Cheer” events, and participation in the HOKA Sydney Half-Marathon, lowered costs for athletes while strengthening the club’s financial sustainability. - Netball
– The Club experienced significant growth in 2024, increasing total teams by 42% (from 14 to 20 teams), with women’s teams growing by 20% and men’s and mixed teams doubling.
– Outstanding competition results included 13 out of 20 teams reaching finals, five premiership titles, and major wins at UniSport Nationals Mixed (1st place for the first time ever), UNE Tri-Series (3rd consecutive win), and Teal Cup (1st title ever).
– Club engagement flourished, with 160 active members attending events like Lawn Bowls Welcome Night, Annual Trivia Night, and a Gala Dinner with 120 attendees, alongside weekly post-training pub nights to foster team spirit.
– High-profile achievements included representative selections in Premier League and NSW Men’s State Teams, successful fundraising for Uni Nationals, and a collaboration with ASICS and the Australian Diamonds on a major advertising campaign, showcasing the club on a national stage.

- Volleyball
– The Club had a standout 2024, excelling in competition, club growth, and athlete development at state and national levels.
– Competitive success included bronze medals for the Women’s Premier Team and U18 Boys Team in State League, while the Men’s (4th) and Women’s (5th) teams performed strongly at UniSport Nationals.
– State and national representation saw multiple athletes compete in the Australian Volleyball Super League (AVSL), while Antony Rowda coached the NSW Phoenix Men’s Team.
– Development and community engagement expanded through lunchtime Learn-to-Play sessions and increased student opportunities.

- Richard Lin (Taekwondo)
– Gold at 2024 UniSport Nationals
– Bronze at Olympic Qualification Tournament, silver at 2023 Pacific Games, representing Fiji.
– Dedicated athlete, mentor to teammates, positive role model and active volunteer for the Sydney University Taekwondo Club.
– 2024 Male Blue of the Year.
– A Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Civil Engineering) student. - Samuel Mak (Taekwondo)
– Gold at 2024 UniSport Nationals (u/63kg)
– Bronze at 2024 South Coast Open (u/68kg).
– Competes in both Poomsae and Sparring disciplines of Taekwondo.
– Vice-President of the Sydney University Taekwondo Club as well as a volunteer coach.

– Became the first Australian male to reach an Olympic triple jump final since Sydney 2000—following in the footsteps of his father, Andrew.
– Finished 12th overall at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
– Set a personal best of 16.82m, the longest Australian triple jump in 12 years, ranking 9th all-time.
– Won the Australian National title with consistent top performances.
– A dedicated Clubman, volunteering at numerous club events including the 2024 RunSydUni event. Competed for St Andrew’s College at the Intercollegiate Athletics meet – winning all his events.

– Represented Team Australia at the 2024 U23 World Baseball Championships, a historic achievement for the Sydney Uni Baseball Club.

– Won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the Men’s K4 500m.
– Silver at the 2023 Canoe Sprint World Cup (Poznan) and 4th at the 2023 World Championships (Duisburg).
– Competes at the highest level in canoe sprint as well as surf lifesaving.
– Represents the University and the EAP program despite no high-performance component of the Sydney Uni Canoe Club.

– Represented the Futsalroos at the 2024 AFC Asian Cup who were competing in the tournament for the first time in 8 years. Also played in the NSDF Championship, ASEAN Championship, and PacificAus Tournament. First player to score a goal for Australia in Solomon Islands.
– Overcame a heart condition to return to elite sport, captained USYD to its first-ever UniSport Nationals Futsal Gold & Pennant in their debut competition.
– Named 2023 NSW Premier League Open Men’s Player of the Year and 2023/24 FNSW Men’s Player of the Year.
– Awarded the first-ever Futsal Blue in 2024.
