The Lions men’s team commenced their season with some dominant victories. However recent challenges have tested them, with their most recent match resulting in a tough loss against the UWA Torpedoes in Perth, where the league leader proved too strong. The team remained focused and hungry for success, sitting in 5th position with eight wins and six losses with a few rounds to play.

The Lions’ women’s squad is also delivering an exciting season. With both talent and experience helping them to be in strong stead as they sit 2nd on the ladder. Their performances have demonstrated strong teamwork and commitment, making them a top contender for the championship race. They had a strong win in Perth over the weekend as they held out the Torpedoes for a 12-7 win.

With the AWL season reaching a crucial stage, the coming weeks will be pivotal in determining the Lion’s final ladder position and their path to the finals. Each match presents an opportunity to secure valuable points and continue building momentum.

Both teams will face the Fremantle Marlins this Saturday at Peter Montgomery Pool (SUSAC). The women’s side will begin at 2:30 p.m, followed by the men’s at 4:00 p.m.
