Sydney University Ultimate Frisbee Club member Kim Spragg will be representing the Australian women’s Ultimate Frisbee team, the Firetails, this Friday.
The Firetails will be taking on New Zealand in what is shaping up as yet another cross-Tasman rivalry. The game will be held at Parklands Sports Centre and is set to commence at 8pm. Friday night’s game will be the Firetails first international match in their 2016 world championships campaign.
Spragg was selected for the Firetails to compete in the 2016 World Ultimate Championships to be held in London. Spragg, 21, is an Elite Athlete Program Scholar and a Bachelor of Arts student. She previously represented Australia at the Under 23 level and was named in the senior team after a series of training camps dating back to mid-2015.
The World Ultimate Frisbee Championships will be held from 18-25 June at University College London Sportsground, where organisers will be catering for more than 2,000 athletes from 35 different countries.
Good luck Kim!
