Will Ryan (Bachelor of Commerce, 2012; current Master of Management student) is the first USYD and Elite Athlete Program alumnus to be selected in the 2016 Australian Rio Olympic Team for sailing.
Ryan will make his Olympic Debut at the 2016 Games alongside teammate and defending Olympic champion Mathew Belcher in the men’s 470 class.
He was the training partner to Belcher and Malcolm Page in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympics.
Ryan grew up at Lake Macquarie and has been sailing alongside sisters, and fellow 470 competitors, Sasha and Jaime since he was a child.
