The UTS-Sydney Uni women’s national league team (UTSSU) went down to Melbourne Uni Blues in the grand final of the Australian Volleyball League on Sunday 6 December.
The team couldn’t claim the National title this year, finishing second after winning the semi-final against Victoria volleyball but losing in 5 close sets to Uni Blues.
Sydney Uni Volleyball has competed in the state league for decades, but 2002 marked its first foray into the national league.
Unlucky this time but hopefully with another solid campaign next year, the girls can bring home Gold.
