Basketball

Women’s National Basketball League – Round 3

Sydney Uni Flames 93 (Tahlia Tupaea 29, Katie-Rae Ebzery 20, Joslyn Tinkle 14) defeated Melbourne Boomers 86 (Tess Madgen 28, Elyse Penaluna 28) at Brydens Stadium, Sydney University Sport and Fitness Centre, on Saturday.

Round 4: Sydney Uni Flames versus South-East Queensland Stars at Logan Metro Sports Centre on Friday, October 30, with a 7.30pm tip-off.

 

Rugby Union

National Rugby Championship – Semi-Finals

Brisbane City 47 (Liam Gill (2), Nick Frisby (2), Samu Kerevi, Luke Beauchamp, Jake McIntyre; Jake McIntyre 4 conversions) defeated Sydney Stars 32 (Guy Porter, Jake Wainwright, Harry Jones, Tolu Latu tries; Angus Roberts 4 conversions) at Ballymore on Saturday night.

University of Canberra Vikings 50 (Rodney Iona 2, Jarrad Butler, Ben Alexander, Francis Fainifo, Ita Vaea tries, Penalty try; Christian Lealiifano 5 conversions) defeated Melbourne Rising 37 (Stacy Ili, Jonah Placid, Cruze Ah Nau, Sione Tuipoluto, Colby Fainga’a tries; Jack Debreczeni 4 conversions).

Grand Final: Brisbane City versus Canberra Vikings at Ballymore on Saturday, October 31, with a 3pm AEST (Brisbane time) kick-off.
