Sydney University’s five NSW Women’s Premier League Division 1 soccer teams are in contention for the finals with five rounds of the competition to be played.
The girls posted a clean sweep over Central Coast FC at Wilson Park on Saturday, highlighted by the Premier Division’s 6-0 result.
Stephanie Ambrose posted a double in the big win, with Natasha Prior, Rachael Soutar, Clare Woods and Georgie Keen also finding the back of the net.
Sydney University also won the Reserves 2-0, the Under 17s 3-0, the Under 15s 2-1 and the Under 13s 3-2.
Macarthur Rams head the Premier Division on 31 points after 13 round, with Manly United (25), Sydney University (22) and North Shore Mariners (21) making up the top four.
Sydney University Reserves are fourth on the ladder behind North Shore Mariners, Manly United and North West Sydney Koalas.
The Under 17s have their work cut out over the next five rounds to move into the top four. Manly United head the ladder from FNSW Institute, Macarthur Rams and North West Sydney Koalas. The Students are level with the Koalas on 23 points, but behind on percentages.
The Under 15s also have the job in front of them, lying fifth behind FNSW Institute, North Shore Mariners, Blacktown Spartans and Macarthur Rams.
FNSW Institute head the Under 13s on 35 points, with Sydney University (27), Blacktown Spartans (23) and North West Sydney Koalas (23) making up the top four.
Round 14 sees Sydney University take on North West Sydney Women’s Koalas at Els Hall Park on Sunday.
