Minor Premiers City of Sydney/Sydney University defeat Eastwood Ryde, 55-41, securing their place in the title decider on Wednesday 24 June.

Claiming six wins from their last seven appearances, City of Sydney’s momentum continued, staying composed under pressure during a tight contest. City of Sydney made the most of their possession gains to rack up the points needed to clench their spot in the 2015 Dooleys State League Waratah Cup Grand Final.

While it was difficult to separate the sides throughout the fiery 60 minutes, the Major Semi Final was ultimately won in the midcourt. It was a thoroughly entertaining contest between duo Keenan and Nikki Deegenaars (CSNA), with both centres showing terrific speed and athletic ability.

Third quarter saw Eastwood claw back to within three goals, however Brice and GA Georgia Marshall combined well in the circle to extend their lead to seven goals at the final break.

In the end, City of Sydney held strong and showed why they finished top of the ladder, claiming a 14 goal victory and the opportunity to achieve their ultimate Premiership goal.

The City of Sydney team is well-positioned for victory at the Grand Final.

The 2015 Dooleys State League Waratah Cup Grand Final match will take place on Wednesday, 24 June from 7:00pm at Netball Central, 2 Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park.
