The 2014 Australian Uni Games have commenced this week with Sydney University getting off to a terrific start.

The event kicked off with the official opening ceremony on Sunday 28 October at The Ivy and will see students from across Australia representing their Universities in thirty different sports.

Being hosted in Sydney this year, games will be taking place in a number of locations including on campus at the Sports & Aquatic Centre where basketball is being played.  Other venues include Macquarie University, Blacktown Sports Park and Sydney Olympic Park to name a few.

Sydney University competed in 65 matches on the first day of regular round games. From this they carried forward an impressive number of wins in 45 of these games.
