NSW Tertiary Cup competition – Semi-Finals

Division One – major semi-final: Sydney University Lions 26 (Adam Sarkis 2, Jay Parker 2, Kingston Nicholson tries: Brendan Lee 3 goals) d Sydney Trains 20 (Tyson Tietie 2, O’Neil. Anguna, Evan Artsivourtsis tries: Tyson Tieitie 2 goals) at Norford Park. Sydney University through to grand final to meet the winner of the final between Sydney Trains and UTS Tigers.

Division Two – minor semi-final: Sydney University 30 (Angus Gaudry 2, Vincent Appleton, Rob Manchester, Matt Makk, Kurt Lewis tries: Myles Fowler 3 goals) d Sydney Trains 20 (Housam Ali 3, Nathan Santi tries: Nathan Santi 2 goals) at Norford Park. Sydney University through to final against ANU Grizzlies, with the winner to meet UWS Ducks in the grand final.

Sydney Men’s Premier Division AFL – Finals

Premier Division – Elimination Final: Sydney University 13.10: 88 (Evan Smith 5, Samuel Crichton 2, Matthew Vicic 2, Ben Coffey 2, Sam Sleigh, Ben Fitzpatrick) d Western Suburbs Magpies 6.7: 43 (Wayd Blackburne 3, Brenton Mumme 2, Stephen Hudson) at Blacktown International Sports Park.

Sydney University to meet St George Dragons in the Minor Semi-Final at Henson Park from 2.30pm on Sunday, September 7. Manly-Warringah Giants and Pennant Hills Demons will contest the Major Semi-Final.
