Sydney University has five men’s and women’s soccer teams still alive in the NSW Men’s Premier Two League and the Women’s Premier League competitions, with the finals under way.
The men’s Under 18, Under 15 and Under 14 sides will be playing elimination and qualifying finals this weekend, while the women’s Reserve Grade are through to the final and the Under 13s are through to the grand final.
The men’s Under 18 side finished 2nd at the end of the competition proper and will meet Mt Druitt Town in a qualifying final this Sunday.
Sydney University Under 15s finished 2nd at the end of the competition proper and will meet Fraser Park in a qualifying final this Sunday, while the Under 14s finished 4th and will meet Macarthur Rams in an elimination final this Saturday.
In the Women’s Premier competition, Sydney University Reserve Grade won their way through to a berth in the final with a 2-nil win over FNSW Institute in the minor semi-final at Sydney United Sports Centre on Saturday.
Monique Andreatta and Taylor Mikaelian scored for the Students to put them into the final with Manly United this Sunday.
And the Under 13s earned a grand final berth with their 1-nil win over FNSW Institute in the major semi-final at Popondetta Park on Saturday.
