Despite there being two regular season round games left until finals begin, the Sydney Uni Bombers have secured their place on top of the ladder.

Last weekend Sydney Uni beat second placed UNSW convincingly. While it was a low scoring match, Sydney Uni dominated play through all quarters, keeping UNSW scoreless to quarter time. Jennifer Lew was among the top players on field on the day, kicking 2 goals.

The impressive 35 -13 win secured the minor premiership for the Sydney Women’s AFL 1st Division competition. The bombers have now pulled 16 points clear of the second placed team, so a minor premiership is confirmed.

Sydney Uni remains undefeated this year, and will be defending their 2013 premiership title. Their current form would suggest they are looking strong for a back to back performance.

The run home will see Sydney Uni play Macquarie University tomorrow at the Macquarie University Oval at 10:30am. They will then take on the Balmain Dockers in the final round game of the season.
