Sydney University Ultimate Frisbee Club has four athletes in the Australian men’s and women’s teams competing at the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Lecco, Italy, this week.
Arun Sharma and Chris Scammell are competing with for the Aussie Thunder boys’ team, while Sarah Perkins (co-captain) and Eunice Cheung are representing the Southern Terra girls’ team.
Southern Terra opened the tournament with a 17-9 loss to Latvia. They have pool matches scheduled against Great Britain and Columbia
The Australian boys also opened the tournament with a loss to Columbia but rebounded to defeat Latvia 17-15 in their second pool match. They have games scheduled against Russia and Sweden and Italy.
