A pleasing 23 seniors attended free special group fitness classes at SUSF’s Sydney Uni Sports & Aquatic Centre (SUSAC) last week as part of 2014 Seniors Week.
The seniors attended two classes last week – Tuesday and Thursday – run by SUSF’s John ‘Sparrow’ Dowse, who was a Seniors Week ambassador.
Sparrow’s ‘Introduction to weights and low intensity strength circuit’ classes incorporated gentle upper and lower body weights with abdominal, core strength and flexibility exercises. These classes are the perfect way for seniors to gently introduce their body to a regular exercises routine.
