Sydney University’s men’s State League and Youth League basketball teams have started the 2014 season with big wins.
In the State League, the Sydney Uni Spiders defeated Springwood 102-38 on Saturday. Angus McGuigan top-scored with 22 points and created plenty of excitement with six big dunks. Nick Peters (21) and Yann Fasbender (14) also scored well.
Sydney Uni then backed up again on Sunday to record a 63-47 victory over the Liverpool Spartans.
Sydney Uni’s Youth League team were impressive on Saturday, recording a 68-52 victory over the Hawkesbury Jets.
