SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Emma Jeffcoat has continued to rich vein of form, after she took out the 2014 National Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships on March 1 in Devonport, Tasmania.
The Bachelor of Advanced Nursing student won the under 19’s age category and finished fourth overall in the female all age category.
Jeffcoat was pleased with her performance, saying “It was a great result, especially considering it was the first race that I have competed in over the longer Olympic distance.”
Last month Jeffcoat placed first in the female 15-19 age category at the Gatorade National Triathlon Sprint distance titles in Elwood, Victoria.
Jeffcoat will now turn her attention to four gruelling days of racing at the Olympic Triathlon Festival in Mooloolaba, Queensland.
