“Our rowers will play a significant role in trying to retain the Rowing Australia Cup for overall Interstate winners, as well as defending the King’s Cup men’s eight, youth men’s and youth women’s eights titles.”

Sydney University will be represented in seven of the eight events on Saturday at the Interstate Regatta. Saturday’s racing is part of the overall Sydney International Rowing Regatta.

A good showing from Sydney University’s rowers is expected to lead to several of them achieving selection in the Australian Team for the first leg of the Rowing World Cup, which will be held in Sydney in March.

Final selections for the Australian Team will then be held in April to pick the crews to race at the World Championships later in the year.
