The playing careers of Tim Davidson and Tom Carter might have finished at the end of the recent 51-6 grand final win over Eastwood, but the fairytale continued at the Sydney University Football Club’s awards held at The Grandstand on Friday night.
Davidson was named the best First Grade forward and Carter the best First Grade back for 2013, bringing down the curtain on their illustrious careers at club and Super XV levels. A week earlier, Davidson had come a close second to Eastwood captain Hugh Perritt in the Ken Catchpole Medal rankings for the Shute Shield Player of the Year.
And in SUFC’s 150th year and in a season when the club won six of the eight titles on offer, second-rower Tom Boiden was named Best and Fairest player for 2013, while winger Greg Jeloudev was the Players Player.
