For the first time ever Sydney Uni will have the opportunity to be crowned the top American football team in Australia when the Lions play-off for a National Club Championship (NCC) against the Gold Coast Stingrays on Sunday August 11 at The Square, The University of Sydney.
The Lions are the reigning NSW champions and have won the last 10 Waratah Bowls for the NSW title. The Stingrays are the current Queensland champions and have won six of the last seven Sun Bowls for the Queensland title. Only one team can be the best in Australia and the NCC Game will settle the score.
The day will be a great family event, with food, drink, and jumping castles and activities for the children. The reggae band “Freida’s Boss” will be playing and there will be a demonstration of Women’s American football in the lead up to the NCC Game, which kicks off at 1.30pm. There will be food and drink, and jumping castles and activities for the children.
The gates to The Square open at 12pm and adult tickets are just $10.
