SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Pit Seng Low has been selected to represent the Australia National Junior badminton team at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Bangkok, Thailand from October 24 – November 2nd.
Low’s selection comes after a series of recent strong performances at the CP Maddern Trophy, the U19 Australian Championships and the ACT Closed.
The University of Sydney Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science student won all three titles that he competed in at the ACT Closed tournament – men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Low finished third overall at the U19 Australian Championships, with his best performance coming in the boy’s doubles, where he finished second.
At the CP Maddern Trophy – a team event where Australian states and territories compete against one another – Low and his NSW teammates lost to Victoria in the final 10-6. Fellow SUSF scholarship holder Toby Wong was also part of the NSW team.
