The Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) have come a long way since their round four loss to Warringah at University Oval No. 1 on Saturday 27th April and will be looking to keep their season on track as the Students head into the very important final rounds of the 2013 competition.
“Our round four loss to Warringah was really tough on the players, but on a positive note as a group we took a lot away from the game and have continued to build as a team since then,” said SUFC Head Coach Chris Malone.
“Last weekend was a very special moment for our team, playing the curtain raiser to what will probably be the biggest rugby test match in Australia in 2013 was a special occasion and one in which our players got to enjoy their footy and have fun,” said Malone.
“After playing such a fun game – where there was no pressure to win, just enjoy the experience – this has freshened the players up as we move into the important stages of the competition. It also gave the group a hands on role to celebrate what it means to them to be a part of the club’s 150th Anniversary celebrations in 2013.”
